We met at a Yacht Club on the South coast of England in 1981, when Robin was a keen young sailor with an old and slightly tatty Sabre 27, and I was a Yacht Club bar maid (he considered this to be a very desirable attribute!), sailing with whoever I could cadge a lift with.

1982-1984 Sabre 27 Cross Channel and local South Coast sailing

1985-1989 Cobra 850 Cross Channel and local South Coast sailing, trip to the Mediterranean from Le Havre, via the Seine, canal system and Rhone, coming out at Sete. Visiting ports from Sete to Barcelona, and the Balearic Islands

1989-1998 No boat of our own. Sailing with friends Cross Channel, Channel Islands and Solent while we started a family and renovated a house.

1998-2000 Hunter 27 Solent and local South Coast sailing (constrained by toddlers!)

2000-2006 Etap 34S Solent, local South Coast and Cross Channel sailing, including a 3 month trip through the Channel Islands and down to Morlaix, taking the children out of school for the second half of the summer term that year.

2006-2014 Re-discover dinghy sailing with our kids. Dinghy sailing and yacht charter holidays to Antigua, Turkey, Egypt the BVI’s and Greece, as well as a week on an Ovni 365, and sailing on friend’s boats.

2014- Ovni 365 Our first trip will be collecting her and sailing back slowly to the UK in July and August 2014 enjoying familiarising ourselves with her.
